Danielle is aiming to raise as much money as possible for three very special charities - The Little Princess Trust, The Lily Foundation & The Calder Vale Recreation Ground Charity!

In July 2019, Danielle retired after 30 years of being a Police Officer for Lancashire Constabulary & she decided, as part of retiring she would let her hair grow & then donate it to charity!
Danielle is setting a target of raising £3000 - however whatever she raises she will split equally between the three charities. If Danielle raises over her target amount by the 28th Feb, she will SHAVE all her hair off! If she raises below £3000 she will still be cutting her hair as short as possible to ensure the donated hair is as long as it c
an possibly be!
Local Hairdresser, Louisa John Ltd, on Bridge Street in Garstang, is going to carry out the cut/shave on Tuesday 28th February, 2023!
The Three Charities...
The Little Princess Trust, provide free real hair wigs to children & young people, up to 24 years old, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions! However it also costs the charity to get the donated hair made in to a wig!
The Lily Foundation, Danielle came to learn about through her friend and former colleague, Nikki and her husband John, serving police officers with Lancashire Constabulary. They have a beautiful little girl called Ruby who was born on the 24th February 2021. At 6 months old baby Ruby became ill & after months of tests she was diagnosed with Pearsons Syndrome, a mass deletion of her mitochondrial DNA. The Foundation raises funds to research mitochondrial disease & supports families. Danielle sought permission from Nikki, to raise funds for the Foundation through 'Team Ruby', which is their Facebook page to raise awareness of what Ruby is going through.
Finally Danielle is also the secretary of the Calder Vale Recreation Ground Charity, in the village where she lives & as you can see the Charity is raising funds to develop a children's play area, an accessible path all the way round the field & so much more!
So if you can spare any amount of money, please help Danielle out! Lets see if she ends up having all her hair shaved off! This is the link to the Just Giving Fundraising page... https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/danielle-freaney
Danielle would like to thank everyone who has donated so far and thanks everyone else, in advance, who donates before or on the 28th February 2023, as all three charities will hugely appreciate your generosity, especially when the financial situation is so tough!
